ON THE PATH OF EXCELLENCE AND GLORY

(Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached.)
- Katha Upanishad 1.3.14
The silver jubilee celebrations of Maharaja Agrasen Technical Education Society (MATES) began a year ago, when a
humble journey that the society undertook in the year 1998 acquired the characters of a large caravan destined to reach
several milestones en-route excellence by becoming one of the most acclaimed and premier private educational institute of the
country. When all the stake holders of this marvellous initiative aimed to cater to the overall development of the country by
providing quality education, they brought forth reasons to rejoice the legacy of the visionaries who laid the foundation stones.
Several accreditations, vast number of research papers, several symposiums, and academic seminars and so on also provide
the fraternity of MATES a reason to exclaim with elation many splendid deeds in the last twenty five years. The founders had
envisioned the establishment of these educational institutions to serve the nation with the lofty ideal of ^tuuh tUeHkwfe'p

The underpinning of this academic fineness which began two and half decades ago witnesses today a glorious superstructure
of knowledge that inculcates scientific temper into the country's overall demeanour. Resting on the pillars of perseverance and
persistence of the founding fathers of the society, the institutes under the umbrella of MATES have truly become beacons of
light dispelling darkness of sorts from the minds of the youth of our country that still has a long way to go as it is even now
faced with the need for a robust and wider educational infrastructure especially in the areas of technological and professional
learning. Despite the laurels we have earned, we are still not contented for we long to contribute more with all our might to
make our institutions compatible with the educational requirements of our beloved motherland. Therefore, it is not surprising
at all to see the leadership at MATES striving for the academic apotheosis by aiming to follow the footsteps of Taxila and
Nalanda, one of the most celebrated and reached out ancient universities of India that enamoured the learners from across the
globe and spread the light of knowledge and wisdom in times of yore.
In the last twenty-five years, various accomplishments of all the institutes including Maharaja Agrasen University, Baddi,
Himachal Pradesh, under the banner of MATES are undeniably enough to give more reasons than one for all of us to celebrate
the silver jubilee of the society and indeed this indomitable spirit and sense of ecstasy is undying.
Nevertheless, there is a collective wisdom of the elders, under whose careful purview these institutions are growing leaps
and bounds, intending not to stop till the goal is reached. When the finale of the year long silver jubilee celebrations is nearing
fast, every member of MATES family seems solemnly resolute to contribute her/his bit to take the institutions further. The
sense of duty in our common pursuit of excellence and a willingness to scale newer peaks of academic achievements are the
biggest driving forces of MATES.
It gives all of us at MATES, an immense sense of fulfilment when we see thousands of students graduated from these
esteemed institutions run by MATES in not only India but also in almost every part of the globe, contributing towards making the
planet a better place for not only the present generation but also for the one that the world will be bequeathed in future. One of
the most remarkable aspects of education imparted by MATES is a thrust on ethics and moral teaching to instil a sense of sanity,
prudence and above all responsibility in our students who we assume shall become the envoys, not only of India but also of the
whole humankind, who endeavoured for the principles of universal brotherhood and peaceful coexistence in the time when the
world is ridden with strife, unrest, uneven economic development and above all marred with an unprecedented ecological distress.
